Join the Junior Programming Class

Junior Programming classes for kids are a lot of fun.

Your child may have begun playing with your phone at the age of three and by the age of five had mastered YouTube and mobile apps.

The Scratch Junior platform, designed by the same MIT team that produced Scratch, is used in this series of engaging ScratchJr tutorials. Your child will learn the fundamentals of coding principles, solve issues, and most importantly, use their imaginations while creating interactive tales and games!

Kids will be learning character design, animation and storyboarding using the professionally designed program, for example, Scratch Jr. At Kids Coding, we aim to engage your kids' interest in coding at level 1 coding.

In this fun Scratch Junior class, we will create a series of animations and games while learning about core coding concepts. We will go from simple projects with different characters working independently, to connecting characters with complex actions. Your child will also get to apply their artistic skills to create their own sprites, tell stories, and share their math and science knowledge. Kids will design the robot mission template in Scratch Jr. Then, kids will be programming the mission template that was designed in scratch jr with Evo Ozobot & Dah&bot.

This course teaches essential coding topics using Scratch, an MIT-developed platform. We begin at the very beginning, with no prior coding knowledge required. Students will study fundamental coding concepts including sequence, loop, and conditional logic. Variables, messages, and events are all key computer programming topics that we will continue to examine. In each session, a new project is produced. We'll create entertaining games and tales. Students may create their own themes based on their personal preferences while learning new coding and scratch skills. While studying more advanced computer science principles, they are challenged to be creative and tackle difficult issues. Students not only learn to code, but they also begin to create right away!

This course covers some of Scratch's most sophisticated programming concepts, such as list/array, designing your own blocks (functions), and complicated interactions between game pieces via messaging and cloning. Despite the fact that projects are growing increasingly sophisticated, we continue to do one enjoyable project every session. The focus of class time is on learning new coding principles as well as how to develop increasingly complicated projects using stages.

This is our most advanced children's Scratch coding lesson. The emphasis is on finding connections across the lessons while overlaying extra coding, problem-solving, and creativity tasks. We'll be working on a range of fun arcade game-inspired crafts, with students adding their own personal touches depending on their particular interests. Students are required to finish the project after each class so that we may devote class time to the most difficult aspects of game development. I am confident that you will be astounded by what your youngster can do using Scratch coding!
